The Tale of Darkstaff the Ancient (Part 5) is a Quest given by Seldon the Searcher .
Seldon suggests that if you want the crystal restored, you will have to return to the Eastern Deadlans and seek out the Wraith Overlords in hopes of finding four pieces of the crystal.
Quest Text[]
Seldon tells you, So I have been studying the notes that you gave me from Darkstaff. I believe that there are four pieces which are needed to recreate his crystal. Well, five really, but you have already found the first one and I can only assume that you've been using it. I believe with some slight modifications, I can reform the crystal if you are interested.
Seldon tells you, What I will need from you are those other four crystal fragments, however. They may appear rather mundane to the untrained eye, just like pieces of glass really. But if I can tap into their magical energies, with my own magic added of course, I believe I can. I would suggest that you focus your energy on finding more of the Wraith Overlords, though, as they are the ones most likely to have the crystal pieces despite their mundane appearance.
Seldon tells you, Have you found the fragments then? Let me see them a moment. If this works, I should have your crystal for you in just a moment.
Seldon tells you, I've done it! I've restored the crystal, or at least I've combined the fragments into something which is more powerful than any of them individually ever would be. Here, take this and use it in good health, <player>. I have what I wanted, which is the satisfaction of knowing it could be done. I will use my findings to see what other crystals I might be able to make now that I understand the process better.
Steps[]
- Seldon suggests that if you want the crystal restored, you will have to return to the Eastern Deadlands and seek out the Wraith Overlords in hopes of finding four pieces of the crystal.
- Once you have obtained four (4) of the Crystal Fragments, bring them back to Seldon at the Eastern Outpost to see if they are the ones he needs to make Darkstaff's Crystal.
- Give Seldon a few moments with the fragments and then greet him again.
