Every character has a got a base speed of 50. The higher the speed, the faster you run. Several abilities, items, spells and potions giving speed boons. Some items and debuffs lowers the speed value, like Cargo Disks. Roads give a speed bonus of 25. Adult and Ancient Dragons have a second value for Fly Speed.
