Khemarius tells you, 'Hello <player>. Have you found my teaching methods unorthodox thus far? Many of the other scholars and trainers for young drakes have arbitrary tasks for their pupils, though I've heard some are less arbitrary than others. I believe that the journey itself and having time to think is just as important as the task I give you. Thus, it saddens me that I must degrade my teaching style a bit today.
I have little research for you to do this time; I simply need you to go forth and test the drain bolt on many creatures to determine if any of them are resistant to it. I've narrowed the field of research quite a bit, but I'm afraid your task today is nothing short of wholesale slaughter.'
Khemarius tells you, 'I'll need you to kill a good many things today in order to verify that the bolt is effective against all manner of beings. I want you to slay five granite golems, five oak treants, and five mountain wolves. We already know the bolt works on undead. We just need to test it on a few other life forms. See to it that you use the Drain Bolt ten times again. After that I think you'll be ready for the next lesson from within the crystal.'
