Balit's Signet Stone
A large, dark and red ruby engraved with the seal of the family of Balit. The stone appears to be very old and there are nicks and scratches on the surface of the gem.

This crystal can be traded for Balit's Signet Ring by visiting Balit on Balit's Island. Before the Summer 2012 update, only dragons could trade for the armor crystal. Now anyone can trade the ring for the crystal.
The ring (bipeds) or stone (dragons) is rewarded from Assist Balit with his Research.
